Sunflower oil
Sunflower oil is a healthy oil and rich in unsaturated fatty acids and has a good and strong position among Iranian consumers. This oil is the largest source of vitamin E among vegetable oils and also a good source of vitamin K. Vitamin E protects cells and tissues from aging-related damage. This oil also contains high amounts of linoleic acid, which is an essential compound for the body. In terms of types, there are 4 types of sunflower oil, among which cultivars that have higher levels of oleic acid are preferred, both in terms of heat tolerance and oxidative resistance, as well as in terms of cardiovascular health. There are studies that show that consuming sunflower oil containing high oleic acid lowers blood cholesterol levels and prevents cardiovascular disease. Sunflower oil also contains significant amounts of tocopherols, plant sterols and other active compounds. The presence of these substances in sunflower oil, in addition to increasing the antioxidant power and heat tolerance of the oil, also has a protective function against various cancers and other damage related to aging in the human body.
